Double Chocolate Peppermint Cookies

Ingredients

Dry ingredients:

  • cup all-purpose flour
  • cup unsweetened natural cocoa powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon baking soda
  • cup granulated sugar
  • cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • cup peppermint candies (crushed)

Wet ingredients:

  • Vital Farms Egg (room temperature)
  • cup butter Vital Farms Unsalted Butter (melted)
  • teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Layer the dry ingredients in the 32 oz (4 cup) jar.

  2. Print and the labels and trim with scissors. Alternatively, use a pen and paper to create your own label using the directions below.

  3. Poke a hole through the label and fasten to the jar using ribbon or string.

  4. Gift to your recipient with Vital Farms Eggs and Butter.

  5. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  6. Whisk together the melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.

  7. Empty the contents of the jar into the bowl and stir to combine with the egg, melted butter and vanilla extract.

  8. Chill dough in the fridge for 2 hours.

  9. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet 1-inch apart.

  10. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, until firm. Allow to cool.
