Strawberry Clafoutis
A classic french custard dessert featuring fresh, summer strawberries.
Ingredients
- tablespoon Vital Farms Unsalted Butter, (room temperature)
- cups strawberries, (washed, stems removed, and halved)
- Vital Farms Eggs
- cup whole milk
- cup granulated sugar
- cup all-purpose flour
- teaspoon salt
- teaspoon vanilla extract
- powdered sugar, (to garnish)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 °F. Butter a 2-quart baking dish. Scatter the strawberries evenly in the bottom of the dish, cut side down.
In a blender, combine the eggs, milk, sugar, flour, salt and vanilla blend until smooth. Pour over the strawberries and bake for about 20-25 minutes, until set and light golden brown.
Allow to cool slightly then dust with powdered sugar and serve.
