Double Chocolate Peppermint Cookies
Ingredients
Dry ingredients:
- cup all-purpose flour
- cup unsweetened natural cocoa powder
- teaspoon salt
- teaspoon baking soda
- cup granulated sugar
- cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- cup peppermint candies (crushed)
Wet ingredients:
- Vital Farms Egg (room temperature)
- cup butter Vital Farms Unsalted Butter (melted)
- teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Layer the dry ingredients in the 32 oz (4 cup) jar.
Print and the labels and trim with scissors. Alternatively, use a pen and paper to create your own label using the directions below.
Poke a hole through the label and fasten to the jar using ribbon or string.
Gift to your recipient with Vital Farms Eggs and Butter.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Whisk together the melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
Empty the contents of the jar into the bowl and stir to combine with the egg, melted butter and vanilla extract.
Chill dough in the fridge for 2 hours.
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet 1-inch apart.
Bake for about 10-12 minutes, until firm. Allow to cool.
