Fried Sage Compound Butter
Serve this spread up on roasted turkey or chicken or toasty crostini with a dollop of cranberry preserves for a delightful seasonal snack.
Ingredients
- large fresh sage leaves
- tablespoon olive oil
- cup Vital Farms Unsalted Butter, (room temperature)
- pinch salt
Instructions
Heat a small skillet over medium heat then add the olive oil. Add in the sage leaves and allow them to fry until crisp, about 30 seconds or so. Transfer them to a paper towel to cool slightly.
Add the butter to a small bowl along with the salt. Crumble the cooled sage leaves into the butter and stir everything to combine. Transfer to a small mason jar or container for gifting.
