Strawberry Clafoutis

A classic french custard dessert featuring fresh, summer strawberries.

Ingredients

  • tablespoon Vital Farms Unsalted Butter, (room temperature)
  • cups strawberries, (washed, stems removed, and halved)
  • Vital Farms Eggs
  • cup whole milk
  • cup granulated sugar
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon vanilla extract
  • powdered sugar, (to garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 °F. Butter a 2-quart baking dish. Scatter the strawberries evenly in the bottom of the dish, cut side down.

  2. In a blender, combine the eggs, milk, sugar, flour, salt and vanilla blend until smooth. Pour over the strawberries and bake for about 20-25 minutes, until set and light golden brown.

  3. Allow to cool slightly then dust with powdered sugar and serve.
